· Properly seat guests including- menus, chair etiquette and verbally notifying the server of a new table.
· Understand the position and numbers of all the tables in the dining room and bar area.
· Properly answer the phone and interpret guest’s needs before directing their call.
· Proper sequence of taking a reservation
· Maintain a clean and orderly appearance of work space.
· General cleaning duties to maintain an orderly dining room and bar.
· Deliver food to guest tables as directed by supervisor.
· Handle guests complaints and correct them immediately.
· Keep all necessary equipment and supplies properly stocked and organized as assigned by management.
· Stocking and cleaning the front and back house areas as requested, and reporting any major issues to immediate supervisor.
· Ensures that all tasks listed on the AM and PM checklists are completed properly on a daily basis.
· Assisting other areas as needed and requested by management.
· Has knowledge of the hotel and is able to assist guests with any questions they may have.
· Knowledge of all food and beverage areas including all menu items.
· Ability to lift, bend, stoop, walk, push or pull equipment up to 50lbs, and stand for extended periods of time. This includes serving trays of dishes up to 40 lbs.
· Must be able to communicate in English to handle guest problems/complaints.
· Ability to multi-task.
· Must be able to work well under pressure.
· Must have personality skills and pleasant personality.
· Ability to properly handle food in conjunction with Health Code, local, state and federal laws.
· Flexible scheduling a must.
