The Housekeeping Supervisor assists the Directors of Housekeeping in supervising and directing the Inspectors, Room Attendants, House persons, Laundry Attendants, Public Area Cleaners, and Overnight Water Park Cleaners and ensuring housekeeping and laundry tasks assigned in guest rooms, corridors, public areas and the laundry department are completed up to Radisson Hotel Bloomington by Mall of America’s high standards of cleanliness.
Qualifications:
- Knowledge of stain removal and chemical cleaning agents, to include proper handling & OSHA standards, and operation of different types of equipment
- Ability to lift, bend, stoop, walk, push or pull heavy equipment, and stand for extended periods of time. Lifting may include equipment or furniture weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to comprehend and follow instructions from manager.
- Ability to comprehend English language sufficient to understand and communicate information for reasons such as safety and security; for example, product safety labels and emergency instructions as well as to complete forms such as a room status report.
- Ability to use internal Opera computer software in order to print reports, input room data and to communicate information to the Front Desk staff with regards to room statuses.
- Ability to provide clear direction, instruction and guidance to subordinates.
- Ability to organize and prioritize work, and meet deadlines.
- Ability to exercise judgment and implement control over the performance of subordinates.
- Ability to effectively manage the department in the absence of the department manager.
- Ability to work whatever hours are necessary to fully complete daily tasks.
- Minimum two years supervisory experience in Housekeeping.
